John 1:1-14

ONE GREAT TRUTH: Jesus wasn’t what the world expected, and He still isn’t. He probably isn’t what you’re expecting either. He’s so much more!

Great gift ideas for men to give their wives… a vacuum cleaner, a toaster oven, and a workout video. She’ll love them – they’re such practical gifts. They will help her to keep a cleaner house, make better meals, and keep in tip-top shape!

We’ve all received gifts we weren’t expecting, good or bad. And we’ve all seen reactions that were, perhaps, unexpected as well.

Jesus was unexpected in the world into which He came. Don’t misunderstand. All the promises and prophecies pointed toward Him, but the world didn’t receive Him. Why?

1. We don’t expect His glory. (v. 14)

2. We don’t expect His truth. (v. 14)

3. We don’t expect His grace. (v. 14)

4. We don’t expect the way He changes our lives. (v. 12)
